DIRECTIONS

From the South

• Take the NY State Thruway to Exit 21 (Catskill) and follow signs to the Rip Van Winkle       Bridge.

•  Cross the bridge and follow Route 23 to the left.

•  Continue past Columbia-Greene Community College and go through the next traffic light.

•  Continue on Route 23 until you arrive at another traffic light intersection and turn left on Route 9H North. (Note that Route 9 will take you to this intersection if you are coming from Dutchess County .)

•   Continue on Route 9H until you reach the traffic light at Route 18.

•   Turn left on to Route 18 (West) and continue until you reach Route 66 (end of Route 18).

•   Turn right on Route 66 and continue about .3 of a mile until you see Humane Society Road on the left and a sign for the Shelter.

•    Make a left. The Shelter is the first set of buildings on the left.

From the West

•     Take Route 23 going East to the Rip Van Winkle Bridge.

•     Continue with the directions above beginning with “Cross the bridge…”

From the East

•      Take Route 23 going West to the intersection with Route 9H in Claverack.

•      Turn right at the light onto Route 9H North.

•      Continue with directions From the South beginning with “Continue on Route 9H…”

From the North

•      Take Interstate 90 East to Exit 12 (Hudson).

•      Take Route 9 South and continue 6 to 7 miles until you arrive at an intersection with many traffic lights.

•      Bear right and take Route 9H south.

•      Continue on Route 9H for approximately 12 miles until the first traffic light.

•      Turn right onto Route 66 and continue for about 1¼ miles until you see Humane Society Road on the right.

•       Make a right. The Shelter is the first set of buildings on the left.
